Shopaholic & Sister (Shopaholic Series)

Shopaholic and Sister - Sophie Kinsella Well, to make it short, this is not a book you have to read, nor is it a very intellectual type of book. However, I have so far read it three times, each time in only a few hours. It's a good read, refreshing and enjoyable. Although it's rather a book for the "in between" times, when you're not quite ready to start another 600 page book, or just need some cheering up, this book will give you laughing fits (at least it did to me) and is definitely worth a read! However, since it's a little bit predictable in the beginning, it only gets 4 stars.

The Book Thief

The Book Thief - Trudy White, Markus Zusak A book of it's own kind (as it has been pointed out before, the narrator is Death himself) - It has a slow start, but after a while it turnes out to be anything but boring: it makes you ponder on questions about death and history, it makes you laugh, it makes you cry and most important: it makes you jump headfirst into a time which is not that long ago, but is difficult to understand and accept for us nowadays ....A must-read!
